In these days of media blitz and electronic information, one must not forget the importance of the exhortation given to St. Augustine to “take up and read”!
There is something unique to reading a book in the ‘old fashioned style’ that strengthens one’s soul.
With Pope Benedict’s idea to have a Year of Faith for the Catholic Church focusing on Evangelization, our bookstore is and will be a valuable part of that apostolate.
We as Catholics must know our faith in order to be able to share it. Take up and read!
